You make good points, but nuclear energy is toxic and dangerous.

What we really have to do is gradually reduce the anti-ecological complex of industrial modernism . . . the components of which are population, production, consumption, pollution, and depletion. It will take a long time to deconstruct that complex. Maybe during that time we can say: "Nuclear energy is a temporarily necessary bad idea that we want to employ for the shortest possible period of time."
