Will the MAGA movement persist?

In January 2021 Trump left office and there was a major even associated with him that seemed to appall most Americans. Between that and financial investigations and pending indictments and social media banishments . . . I thought Trumpism was finished, thank goodness.

But it wasn’t.

Its persistence raises the issue of whether or not the MAGA movement could endure and spawn a proto-fascist phenomenon in this country.

I don’t think so, but, then, I thought Trumpism would fade after 2021 — and I was wrong. The fall elections could give some indication of how virulent MAGA really is. A financial crisis could cause it to turn rabid, dark, and ugly.

Trump will be 77 in 2024. Tucker Carlson will be in his prime. Could he take over as the MAGA leader?

Why does the discontent go right-wing these days instead of left-wing?
