An aspect of the insanity of hyper-modernity is our arrival at an historically exceptional state of surfeit.
It’s a crazy sin.
The technologies enable and we can’t resist.
Fossil fuels, electricity, industrial productivity.
Innovation. Inundation. Commodification.
Obesity.
Surfeit.
Notice how “innovative disruption” has become some kind of positive meme.
Disruption is problematic.
Paul Goodman said: “Innovate in order to simplify, otherwise as sparingly as possible.”
