In one sense we can see that Red is dead: For decades the holiday of the socialist-labor movement, May Day, was celebrated widely. It’s not anymore.

And yet, leftists still often reference the guru of the socialist-labor movement, Karl Marx . . . even though the essence of his worldview, his progressive-developmentalist theory of history, should by now be recognized as deluded.

Leftists still reference Karl Marx as the oracle of post-capitalism.

The issue of a communist future has been settled. It was a flawed vision.

But the issue of capitalism vs. socialism has not been settled. And if we want to get rid of the capitalist system, as we should, we need a new, post-Marxist, vision.
