Thoughts for my great-grandchildren

Relax and simply understand:

The overshoot has been enormous. Beyond comprehension.

Go green as much as you can. Don’t be agitated. Don’t feel guilty. Don’t get ascetic. You can’t ameliorate the consequences of very-long-standing trajectories.

Do a little. Do what you can, what suffices for you to feel that you’ve acted responsibly.

Facing the truth is right, but don’t be too much of a scold. It turns people off.

Fasten your seat belts. Create lifeboats. Adjust your perspectives. Settle in to the inevitable.

Realize that every single person will have a unique viewpoint, comprehension, reaction. None will Save The Day.

It will be strange peaking. Disconcerting and disorienting. Sensing a slow-manifesting devolution.

Try to help. Perspective will help.
