No one knows what’s going to come from this, ultimately.
If enough people in Russia decide to try to (finally) get rid of Putin — and some of the military supports that effort — then you could have a conflagration that extends from the borders of Europe all the way to Vladivostok. An economic collapse in that geopolitical expanse would not exactly be trivial. Currency devaluations. Sovereign defaults. Cyber-finance attacks.
I think it could be the downfall of Putin . . . but NATO may come to regret driving him crazy.
