Generally the cold and dark and length of January makes people in my household a little grumbly.

“Nice talk, please.”

Good luck.

But

January in New Jersey lately seems to be moderating.

We used to be able to ice skate for most of the winter months. Not lately.

If that’s really due to global warming, wow. I believe in climate change caused by atmospheric perturbation, but I figured that kind of shifting would play out over a long time . . . pretty slowly for decades, then accelerating over centuries. If the climate of New Jersey has become Virginia-like in just one lifetime . . . oy vay.
