Naturally, Greens say we’re not transitioning fast enough to avoid ecological crises.
It’s the job of Greens to push as hard as possible. But I do hope we do understand, underneath, that change invariably takes time.
Ever since the first Earth Summit in Stockholm in 1972 (51 years ago!) aspirations have far outdistanced policy and praxis. It simply can’t, really, be otherwise.
The slow pace of change means that crises are unavoidable.
