On keeping perspective

People tend to over-react.

Personally, I think what George Bush did in Iraq, setting in motion a destabilization of the Middle East for a generation, is long-range more problematic than any particular thing Donald Trump did.

The point is that the above is arguable, but now the hysteria around Bush is all but forgotten amidst the hysteria around Trump.

Trump’s mishegoss may wind up doing us all some good if it damages the Republican Party or even splits it apart:
