Notice that Ecology is featured in the name: “New Ecological and Social Popular Union.”
If this coalition emerges as the strongest in parliament, then the influence of the Greens in both Germany and France will be ascendant. This is indicative of the advancing ecological consciousness in Europe (as well as the superiority of proportional representation electoral systems).
