Never want to hear Trump’s voice again … Won’t listen much to dreary President Biden

The last debate was the last major event of the campaign. Trump might have somewhat won the debate. One reason is because his performance in the first debate was so abysmal that the expectations for him were super-low.

He did . . . better. That’s a plus. And Biden did make what will be spun as a gaffe. When Trump asked him point-blank: “Will you close down the oil industry?” . . . there was too much definitive “Yes” in Biden’s answer and not enough of a nuanced sense of gradual transition.

The polling average prior to the debate had Biden up about 8%. If Trump can spin a debate win and if the usual slight tightening-at-the-end occurs, the final polling numbers might have Biden up about 5% overall. But, of course, “overall” is not what counts, it’s a state-by-state electoral college majority race.

I’d be surprised if Biden didn’t get 300 electoral college votes. I doubt he’ll get 350.

Shock if he fails to get 270.
