Men so want

. . . the love of women.

So when they see the chance they’ll work very hard to merit it. Sometimes insanely hard.

The sad frustration of some men comes about because they don’t see the chance.They feel as if they need to be outstanding and they don’t feel it’s possible. They may bail out and go gay. Or their frustration can manifest as psychopathology, or as sociopathology.

But if they see the chance they’ll strive. It’s usually a slog. Sometimes it results in High Achievement. The latter is a phenomenon of nature, like the tail of the peacock.

Often they’re striving for something that’s in their head. An image, a muse, an ideal. There’s a love object, and then there’s a person. The person might have a sense of disconnect. Some concern: “He works so hard. He’s in some world. To what extent does he see just me? When he sees just me, to what extent is he disappointed relative to the image?”

People live in worlds.The worlds of men and women mostly overlap, but I do believe there tends to be some distinction. Speaking very generally, the world of men includes more in the way of desire and frustration.

The desire drives men crazy. Just look at what they do.
