To be at all mainstream you have to do that.

The Derrick Jensens and the Jeff Gibbs necessarily will be marginalized saying: "That anyone thinks our population and economy can remain orders of magnitude above baseline is participating in the greatest delusion in planetary history. Failing to acknowledge how vastly beyond overshoot we humans are, and, therefore, how far we will be coming down, ought to be seen as immoral. But the simple reality is that we can't abide facing what our situation actually is."

What's in store is breathtaking. Almost impossible to contemplate. Years and years and years of devolution. A change of consciousness. A reversal of domestication. Back to animality. In some ways liberating (think of Jack London's The Call of the Wild).
