“Immigration has been a losing issue for the party in power in France, Germany, the UK, Hungary, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, and now Canada. Nate Silver states the seemingly obvious: It may cost Harris the election.”
“Immigration” is almost a euphemism here. What we have is teeming masses trying to find a decent quality of life flooding from the periphery where things are falling apart. This is nothing but the very start of the very long Long Emergency period of our civilization. Masses will be on the move for centuries to come. The rich countries could keep them out. How ugly it will be. Humanity sloshing around the planet unsettled.
