It’s another case of blowback

The US promised Russia it would not encroach (re: expanding NATO eastward) after the Cold War ended. Then it proceeded to do exactly that.

It essentially drove Russia nuts. Their invasion of Ukraine is nuts. Meanwhile, it’s causing havoc with the world economy. The US is suffering:
