Trump only won by 1.5% of the vote. It actually was very close. If I had worked to elect the Democratic ticket instead of wasting all that effort on a marginalist campaign like Jill Stein’s it’s very possible Harris would have won. And the Green New Deal would have remained on the table. I should apologize.

On the other hand . . .

The Green Party proposes a Green New Deal that goes way beyond the tepid version of the Democrats. But the consequences of the ecological crises of our time go way beyond what either could actually mitigate.

Governmental policies over the last 150 years fostered the ecological crises of our time. The Democrats were in power for half the time during the last 150 years. They and the Republicans have fostered the situation we face. They should apologize.
