In power they tend to waffle

The Green Party is part of the current coalition government in Germany.
The government is supplying heavy weaponry to Ukraine, fueling escalation of the conflict.
The Green Party is supposed to be anti-militaristic.
Betraying that principle could split the party . . . just as the Socialist Party was split in 1914 when the issue was whether or not to support the government’s entry into WWI.
