I was without Internet service for two days
Verizon came. The problem wasn’t hardware, and when they examined my software they discovered code indicating that our residence had been targeted as a beta test site for The Bug.
Most people aren’t aware, but all high priests of high tech know that back in 1966 the Russians got a stealth US Department of Defense operative to launch the ARPANET project. You might recall that it was a big hit and spread from the military to all the universities. It’s now called the Internet and the entire US economy is dependent upon it.
As was the plan.
The Verizon techs said my outage of March 21–22 was actually a successful beta test and it seems likely the Russians will press a button any day now to activate The Bug, shut the whole thing down, and cause mass chaos. I’m heading for my bunker.
