It’s not Marxist. It doesn’t assert that history has been “progressing.” It doesn’t view “the working class” as the primary agency of social change.
It advocates for eco-socialism, not as an end-goal, but rather as a phase that can foster the transition at the macro level while we proceed to build the new within the shell of the old at the micro level. The ultimate goal is a bioregional transformation of society.
