Gee, there’s dissatisfaction with the administration

I don’t vote Democratic (or Republican) but I always hope (until the happy day a Green stands a chance) always hope the Dem will get elected.

Why? Because our political reality sucks and whoever is in office is going to bear the brunt of the dissatisfaction. When there’s a Republican administration in office much of the electorate (but especially progressives) see the Dems as the alternative and get all impassioned to vote Democratic. But when there’s a Democratic administration some of the electorate (but especially progressives) will feel that the Dems are unsatisfactory and the Greens might be an alternative to consider.

Yay.

Consider: Green Party candidate Ralph Nader got over two million votes in 2000 after eight years of the Clinton Democratic administration. Green Party candidate Jill Stein got over a million votes in 2016 after eight years of the Obama Democratic administration. Green Party candidate Cynthia McKinney, a former Congresswoman with some gravitas, got fewer than 200,000 votes in 2008 after eight years of the Bush Republican administration.

I rest my case.
