Fred Rogers

It’s hard to believe he was really through-and-through so nice and so virtuous, but so what? We all have our complexities.

Regardless of to what extent the persona really fully reflected the person, Fred Rogers understood and dealt with something important:

The pace and scale of hypermodernity is terrible for adults, but it’s surely even worse for kids. Disney movies can’t resist being with the program. The program sucks. Fred Rogers’ program modeled better.
