For incrementalism
The sense you get from stories like the above is that the vision is good but the implementation is not generalizable.
Therefore: barely viable.
People just can’t jump from A to Z. The history of all revolutions demonstrates that.
People can transition from A to B.
At this critical point in its history the human race must be encouraged to transition from A to B. We actually can’t really see much farther than D. We can think in terms of new directions. We can have in mind fuzzy ideas of ultimate fully-sustainable ways. But, in order to avoid disappointment, frustration, and burnout, it’s best to work patiently toward the increments that will get us from A to B. Even that is quite a challenge!
