Dreary same-old same-old as we’re stuck in a rut

Nov 3, 2021

It was a bad electoral night for the left. But the real problem is how all the modern ideologies have hit a dead end.

Obama ran on “Hope and Change,” but there was little change and the hope dissipated really fast. Like: Biden’s approval rating tanked really fast.

In our time, liberalism, old-style conservatism, socialism, nationalism are all exhausted ideologies. That’s one reason why some have turned back to religious fundamentalism. Others feel increasingly hope . . . less . . .

The greening will be more of a settling back than a rally to the barricades.

How about bioregionalism as a fresh ideology for hope and change? It’s recently doubled in support from 0.0000000001% to 0.0000000002%!
