Doomed cousins

The explorer from Galaxy Zyxwvutsrq reports back her observation that humans are more like bonobos than like chimpanzees. The similarity has to do with sexual preoccupation. It’s the reason why there are so few bonobos (they’re near extinction). She predicts there will eventually be few human beings (an endangered species). Sexual preoccupation drives these poor creatures crazy. The resultant behavior anomalies are toxic (and pitiful to observe).
