Do the gods laugh or cry?

Apr 7, 2021

. . . or not much care at all?? . . . to witness this species, homo “sapiens,” so technologically smart as to be able to fly a drone around on another planet, 170 million miles away:

. . . and so ecologically dumb as to provoke a Sixth Mass Extinction from which no animal larger than a squirrel will emerge.

“Sapiens” is larger than a squirrel and thus is at risk of committing species suicide. The Martians call us homo bête. The gods call us an experiment gone awry.
