That article is indicative re: why I always hope the Democrat will win when the race is Dem vs. Rep.
When the Reps are in, progressives forget how bad the Dems are and they say: “Vote out the bums,” advocating a vote for the Dem.
When the Dems are in, progressives are reminded of how bad the Dems are and they say: “Vote for a third party.”
That’s why the Green Party presidential candidate got over a million votes after eight years of Clinton and then again after eight years of Obama. Those are the only two times the Green Party candidate got over a million votes.
