culmination this Friday

Maisel’s last episode (after five seasons) will be Friday.

She’ll appear on the Gordon Ford show as Joan Rivers appeared on (and then became the first female regular guest-host for) the Johnny Carson show.

Marvelous was right up my alley. All those tropes and songs reminiscent of my childhood milieu.

But they just surrounded a touching portrayal of a very unlikely relationship, the one between Midge and Suzie.

In this age of ennui and cynicism it had warmth and humor and heart. Even some romance.

Imagine that.
