Co-living is a step in a communitarian direction
The communal living described in the above article is co-living. It tends to be kind of transitory.

What’s more transformational about a cohousing or ecovillage community is the fostering of: identification with and commitment to a particular-place-on-earth.
Sense of place. Stability in place. Stewardship of place.
There are buildings conducive to co-living, and that’s great. But they’re just buildings.
