Yeah, well, that’s the way it is for right now.

I can understand being engaged in the “right now” . . . but there are also relevant concepts re: “future” and “better.”

I shudder to think what reality would be like if what he wrote still applies in a hundred years. It would represent tragic systemic sclerosis.

Personally, I think it will be better in the future. Multi-party democracy. More voices and more choices. Based on a breakthrough at some point. My perspective and my activism is based on that idea. The Breakthrough. It could happen in 2024 (Republican Party splits), or 2028 or 2032 or 2048 or 2072. It could happen suddenly: a viable candidate neither Rep nor Dem wins or comes close . . . and the electorate never again is willing to consider just two choices.

So: Build up the Green Party and be ready.
