The ballot access phase of the campaign is now over. Some of the Democratic Party challenges to our petitions are still in court, but it looks like we’ll wind up on 38 or 39 or 40 state ballots. That’s not fully successful, but it’s pretty good given how aggressive the Dems were this year in their suppression attempts.
As things move into the post-ballot-access campaign proper, Jill is getting a notable boost as the Democrats see that her campaign has some special resonance with the Muslim constituency. The Dems can’t afford to lose too much of the Muslim vote. So now they’ve moved from petition challenges to ad hominem attacks.
