So you’re about to embark upon your cohousing project. You’ve worked hard to get the land, the zoning, the money, the members. You’re ready to design, build, and then move in together.
Congratulations!
There’s much to do, but here’s some advice:
1a. Lower your expectations
1b. Keep your expectations realistic throughout
. . . about everything, but especially about human interpersonal interactions.
2. Keep things simple
Paul Goodman said: “Innovate in order to simplify, otherwise as sparingly as possible.”
Because: every thing must be maintained by someone; every task must be done by someone.
Therefore: don’t let the things and the tasks proliferate any more than necessary.
