A recent anthropological/sociological study had interesting conclusions re: The Problem
The study indicated a disparity in functionality when comparing Sane Society to Insane Society, the former referring to the original tribal and village social realities and the latter referring to our current hyper-scale, overly-complex, competitive-atomistic monstrosity-burdening-poor-moderns.
Its statistical conclusions were as follows (inclusive of adults over 18):
SANE SOCIETY
. thriving 60%
. coping 20%
. functioning 10%
. needing to be carried 10%
INSANE SOCIETY
. thriving 10%
. coping 40%
. functioning 35%
. needing to be carried 15%
