. . . of speakers at a gaggle of a rally today in D.C.

The main idea is that US and European heavy weaponry into Ukraine is like pouring gasoline onto a fire.

Message to the US: Stop being so militaristic. Become a force for negotiation and reconciliation.

A wide spectrum of supporters and speakers in terms of ideology: Tulsi Gabbard, Dennis Kucinich, Cynthia McKinney, Max Blumenthal, Ron Paul, Nick Brana, Jill Stein, Chris Hedges, Jimmy Dore … Libertarians, Greens, Socialists, Independents, even Diane Sare of the LaRouche Party.

(to tell you the truth, I’ve never seen anything quite like it)

A similar but more decidedly leftist event is scheduled for March 18.

Nick Brana’s “Peoples Party” initiative had been dying. This might revive it. But as what? It started out as a home for Bernie supporters who didn’t want to stick with the Dems. But Bernie would not endorse this rally. It smacks too much of populism. Will Nick Brana’s initiative shift from being social democratic to left-populist?

This indicates that things are very much in flux ideologically. Reminiscent of the “scandal” where Glenn Greenwald goes on Fox so often. What is the ideology of The Gray Zone??

There is a growing “Hate the establishment / Hate the Reps and the Dems” constituency. But it is a gaggle, a zoo, an enigma, and a little bit of a loony bin.

The hate is justified. One of these days one of these alternative advocates will run for president and get enough support to break open the system. Maybe if Trump fails to get the Rep nomination he’ll do that. Of course, it would be better if the “New Viable Third Party” phenomenon got identified with the left rather than the right. If it were to spin into an ugly populism, that would be a shame. Nonetheless, votes for Greens would subsequently increase, also, once the duopoly loses its authority.
