A crazy thought

They all might gain from this war . . .

The United States: increased dominance over Europe, elimination of Russia as a rival super-power

NATO: expansion … incorporating Finland, Sweden, Ukraine

Ukraine: its military has been augmented tenfold; its economy has been injected with hundreds of billions; the West will reconstruct it with state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure

Russia: closer ties with China plus the admiration and covert support of the Others (India, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, etc.) for daring to stand up to the US/EU/NATO Goliath

The armaments industry always gains. The Powers and the Elites always gain. All at the expense, of course, as usual, of the thousands of young soldiers and numerous civilians who will die.

When will they ever learn?

Where have all the flowers gone? Long time passing …
Where have all the flowers gone? Long time ago …
Where have all the flowers gone? Young girls picked them every one.
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the young girls gone? Long time passing …
Where have all the young girls gone? Long time ago …
Where have all the young girls gone? Gone to husbands every one.
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the husbands gone? Long time passing …
Where have all the husbands gone? Long time ago …
Where have all the husbands gone? Gone for soldiers every one.
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the soldiers gone? Long time passing …
Where have all the soldiers gone? Long time ago …
Where have all the soldiers gone? Gone to graveyards every one.
When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn?
Where have all the graveyards gone? Long time passing …
Where have all the graveyards gone? Long time ago …
Where have all the graveyards gone? Gone to flowers everyone.
When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn?
