So . . . it was clear to us then that this society needs a major change of direction, and some of us took it to heart to the extent of becoming committed life-long social changers.
So . . . that was over fifty years ago and I can convey the news that in regard to desiderata such as peace, social justice, ecological responsibility, anti-imperialism, bioregionalism, black liberation, nuclear disarmament, egalitarianism, feminism, sustainability, anti-capitalism, eco-socialism, nonviolence, decentralization, anti-militarism, extended democracy, communitarianism, anti-colonialism, and the general greening of society … things change slowly.
